
The Benidorm beaches have been rewarded with blue flags for its clean water and sand, lifeguard patrols and a wealth of water sports. No holiday on the Costa Blanca would be complete without paying a visit to these wonderful beaches.
Malpas beach is a smaller beach beneath port and the castle cliffs. It’s only a few hundred meters long and extremely popular with volleyball players and other sports lovers.
Malpas beach is small, pleasant and not very crowded. Malpas beach is totally different from the main Benidorm beaches.
Levante beach, originally know as la playa de Levante, can get pretty crowded in summer. If you don’t like lying on the sand then you can rent one of the 5000 beach beds. Parallel with the beaches lays a lively promenade with bars, cafes, restaurants and skyscraper hotels for those who may get thirsty or hungry.
Most beaches in this region of the Costa Blanca are rocky, but Benidorm’s levante beach is sandy and slopes gently into the water making it safe for kids and elder people to bath.
Teenagers are attracted to the Levante beach to enjoy a sandy social vibe and rest after a wild night of partying in one of the many clubs in town nearby.
For those of us who get bored easily there are many water sports facilities such as water ski, Jet Ski, banana boats, paragliding and Scuba diving. Swimming bridges, diving boards, rafts and slides are guaranteed fun for the more energetic!
Poniente beach or playa de Poniente lays beyond the old town, west of the Levante beach. A mammoth golden curl of excellent sand is the trademark of this huge coast strip.
The Poniente beach is very family friendly and not as hectic as the Levante beach. Less crowded, but still holding plenty facilities close at hand.
Just like the Levante beach this has no rocks and slopes gently into the water. What else do you want in your Benidorm holiday?
The Poniente beach is perfect if you enjoy swimming and sunbathing. Just like any Benidorm beach, the playa de Poniente gets cleaned every morning.
